About the Book
Dr. Gursharan Singh Kainth beginning his career as Lecturer at Post Graduate Department of Economics, Government College, Gurdaspur and later at Khalsa College, Amritsar specializes in Quantitative and Development Econom- ics. He has about 200 papers published in various research journals of interna- tional repute and National Dailies and five research monographs and bulletins in his kitty. Besides he has authored/ co-authored/edited nine books which have been well received and highly acclaimed. A recipient of 'Cultural Doctorate in Phi- losophy of Economics' from the World University, Arizona, USA, he is an active life member of various professional organi- sations and has also participated in various national and regional seminars, conferences, etc. Currently, he is on the research staff of the Department of Eco- nomics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
